ASRC FEDERAL (Agile Decision Sciences) is seeking a Linux System Engineer Sr. II for our contract located at Aberdeen Proving Ground. This position is 100% remote.
Linux/Unix System Engineer Senior II - Remote

Position Description: This position supports Linux/Unix Engineering Sustainment under ASRC Federal’s CECOM SETA Support within the PEO EIS MSP. The PEO EIS MSP ensures that the U.S. Army’s Linux/Unix systems are secure, reliable, and capable of supporting mission-critical operations. As a Software Engineer Senior II, you will contribute to the maintenance and enhancement of these systems, ensuring their optimal performance.
Requirements :
Minimum Qualifications:
A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, or other Engineering or Technical discipline is required.
Certifications: DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level II and applicable DoD 8570.01-M Computing Environment certification.
Secret security clearance.
Required Skills:
Minimum 5 years of experience as a Linux system administrator.
Proficiency in Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8 administration.
Hands-on experience with Red Hat Pacemaker clusters.
Experience operating RHEL servers in AWS cloud environments.
Strong scripting skills (Shell, Bash, Python, or similar).
Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
Effective communication and teamwork skills.
Linux or other applicable Technical Certification.
Desired Skills:
Knowledge of DoD security requirements and compliance (STIG/ACAS).
Knowledge of ERP SAP environments.
Working knowledge of ServiceNow.
Experience working in an Agile Framework environment.
Experience in performing RHEL upgrades.
Experience with containers and Kubernetes.
