Precise Systems, Inc. Lead Pyrotechnics Engineer in Aberdeen, Maryland

Excet, a Precise Systems Company seeks a Lead Pyrotechnics Engineer to provide hands-on pyrotechnics engineering and fabrication support to the Pyrotechnics Team.

This position is contingent upon contract award

Duties:

  • Expertise to perform the following: plan, coordinate, direct, and participate in a variety of exploratory efforts on new pyrotechnic munitions/ devices/systems and the advancement of technology in support of the mission of the Pyrotechnics Team

Required Education:

  • BS in an Engineering discipline, preferably chemical engineering

Required Experience:

  • Experience with obscuration, nonlethal ammunition, and associated manufacturing engineering programs including hands-on fabrication experience in making pyrotechnics and pyrotechnic ammunition

  • A minimum of 20 years experience in pyrotechnics/energetics projects

  • A minimum of 10 years experience in pyrotechnics/energetics projects involving smoke/obscuration and nonlethal programs

  • Active Army Ammunition & Explosives certification

  • Army MOS 89D; Mission, EOD or TEU experience

Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance. Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.
