Robert Half Human Resources (HR) Manager in Aberdeen, Maryland

Description

We are looking for an experienced Human Resources (HR) Manager to join our team in the non-profit industry located in Aberdeen, Maryland. This role is pivotal in managing organizational and departmental plans and their implications on HR requirements. The HR Manager will serve as the primary contact for all employees regarding HR-related issues and inquiries and will also assist in maintaining the integrity and compliance of the agency’s HR system. In this position you will have the opportunity to devise, execute, and assess HR procedures that will align with the values and goals of the organization.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with the organization's and department's objectives.

• Constantly monitor and adjust HR plans based on the results and feedback.

• Identify opportunities for improvement and lead HR projects to enhance our capacity, efficiency, and effectiveness.

• Oversee tasks associated with open enrollment and benefits management for team members.

• Support the training function by coordinating training classes, events, meetings, and team member communications.

• Assist with performance management administration and processing when required.

• Collect and compile HR metrics and data from various sources for quality reporting.

• Analyze data and statistics for trends and patterns, focusing on recruitment, hiring practices, motivation, turnover, and compliance with employment laws and regulations.

• Prepare and present reports of data results to the senior leadership.

• Support the development of all team members within the organization through special projects.

• Model relationship building as a starting point for engagement, supporting the principles of diversity, equity, and inclusion.

• Ensure efficient and consistent communication of best practices and policies throughout the agency.

Requirements • Proven experience in Human Resources Management or a related field.

• Proficient in implementing HR policies and procedures.

• Strong knowledge of Benefits Administration and Vendor Management.

• Demonstrable experience in Human Resources (HR) Administration.

• Familiarity with Human Resources Management Systems.

• Proficiency in HRIS - Human Resources Info Systems.

• Excellent organizational and leadership abilities.

• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.

• Thorough understanding of non-profit industry and its unique needs.

• Demonstrable ability to guide and manage HR staff members.

• Capacity to handle sensitive issues with confidentiality and discretion.

• Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.

• Relevant certification or degree in Human Resources or related field is preferred.
