Verification Engineer

Hybrid Working - 2 days per week in the Aberdeen office

Up to £45,000 per annum + Excellent Benefits

Are you a skilled Verification Engineer looking for an exciting new challenge? Join our growing Energy Transition and consultancy team at Bureau Veritas.

The Role

In this varied role, you'll undertake a range of onshore and offshore verification assessments, including 6-12 weeks per year of offshore work. You'll be paid overtime and a disturbance allowance for your offshore work.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting examinations, assessments, surveys, and audits for offshore installations

  • Providing clear, concise technical reports

  • Ensuring high-quality personal deliverables

  • Implementing verification schemes in line with UK legislation

  • Promoting a safe, environmentally conscious, and high-quality culture

The Requirements

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • Demonstrable engineering experience in verification, surveying, QA/QC or design roles

  • Solid awareness of offshore installation construction, commissioning or operation

  • UKAS RG2 Qualification Category 2 or equivalent for pressure equipment work

  • Knowledge of UK Safety Case Legislation and its implementation

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and technical challenges

  • HNC/HND/Degree in engineering or industry equivalent

  • Membership of a recognised professional institution preferred
