NOTE: This role is fulltime onsite in our Scottsdale Warehouse
Summary
The role of our Manager, Smart Home Warehouse is to oversee the daily operations and to ensure efficiency and performance targets are being met. Responsibilities include managing & coaching staff, optimizing processes, and implementing strategies to enhance productivity and customer satisfaction, l ead and develop the warehouse team to provide outstanding customer support; internal and external. Establish and maintain relationships with vendors to ensure best pricing is being secured.
The Manager, Warehouse will also drive tactical operations through effective shift planning and execution across production and warehouse functions to ensure delivery to teams in the field. Identify and implement tactical and strategic improvements to automate & transform manual workflow and reporting for operations. This role will focus on cost reduction by streamlining processes and workflows, driving the digitalization of operations, and eliminating paper-based systems
Job Responsibilities:
Maintain receiving, warehousing, purchasing and distribution operations by updating, coordinating, and enforcing program, operational, and personnel policies and procedures in place, as well as creating new processes, policies and procedures
Works with warehouse staff to maintain job results by coaching, counseling and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results
Maintains physical condition of warehouse by planning and implementing new design layouts; maintaining 5S and safety culture; inspecting equipment; issuing work orders for repair and requisitions for replacement
Analyze financial objectives, preparing annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions to maintain budget expenditures.
Achieves financial objectives by maintaining a P&L and aligning goals with business partners
Work with vendors to review current pricing and changes in pricing, negotiate new pricing levels where needed and works with new vendors to maintain competitive pricing
Supply chain, fulfillment, logistics and production process knowledge is essential.
Knowledge and Skills:
Strong Leadership and interpersonal communication skills with knowledge and ability to manage and develop a team
Proper safety procedures and Safety Management
Developing Standards and processes with the ability to maintain and manage procedures and processes
Strong knowledge of Inventory Control and warehouse best practices
Financial and analytical capabilities to manage and plan budget, monitor inventory, asses data and create reports
Purchasing knowledge
Ability to negoiate with vendors for pricing
Knowledge of current federal and local safety regulations as they relate to warehouse facilities.
Job Requirements:
6+ years logistics and supply chain knowledge as well as Warehouse management experience required.
Supervisory/people management experience required
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
Excellent understanding of WMS and ERP systems and excellent computer skills, proficient in excel, word, and google suite
High School Diploma, Associates degree in management, business operations or related field is preferred, but not required
A valid drivers license is required as this role may require the operation of a company vehicle to expedite the delivery of parts.
Experience with Rootstock and Salesforce strongly preferred
