State of Massachusetts Missing or Absent (MOA) Supervisor - Western Region in 600 Washington Street, Massachusetts

The Department of Children and Families (DCF) is seeking a dynamic individual to fill the critical role of the Missing or Absent (MOA) Supervisor. The selected candidate will provide supervision and guidance, assigns cases and reviews the performance on MOA Social Workers. PLEASE NOTE: This position will cover the Western Region but is formally assigned to Central Office. _Duties and Responsibilities (these duties are a general summary and not all inclusive)_: * · Oversee day-to-day operations of regionally based team of MOA Workers dedicated to locating, engaging, assessing and returning missing or absent children involved with DCF during and after regular business hours. · Provide direct supervision to MOA Workers at the Regional office, per DCF policy. · Review and analyze Regional weekly Missing/Absent Child list and assign youth to MOA social workers. · Help to ensure fidelity to policy metrics such as NRL’s, NCIC numbers, and updated photographs of missing youth are in the electronic case record. · Maintain database of Regional MOA Workers’ efforts to locate, engage and return youth to care as well as all prevention work. · Provide updates on MOA efforts to Area and Regional Management, as needed. · Develop safety plans for day time and after-hours interventions for MOA Workers. · Work collaboratively with DCF social workers, supervisors and managers in Area offices to assess safety and risk and to work towards returning missing youth to Department approved placement setting when requested. · Develop area and region-specific prevention efforts by working with key community stakeholders and law enforcement agencies. · Act as the Regional liaison with schools, police departments, courts, CSEC MDTs, and with service provider agencies seeking to build and sustain positive collaborative relationships. · Assist MOA Workers to prepare for interactions with the community and agency contacts to improve collaboration and build awareness of the MOA program and harm reduction approach. *_Required Qualifications_: 1. Minimum Entrance Requirements: Applicants must have (A) a Master’s degree in social work, psychology, sociology, counseling, counseling education or criminal justice or a relevant human services degree and (B) a current and valid Licensures as a Licensed Social Work Associate, Licensed Social Worker, Licensed Certified Social Worker or Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker issued by the Massachusetts Board of Registration, and (C) and three (3) years of full-time or equivalent part-time experience in social work, or (D) or any equivalent combination of the required experience and the substitutions below. *Applicants at the Department of Children and Families must obtain the required license in Social Work within the first nine (9) months of employment. The classification may require possession of a current and valid Motor Vehicle Driver’s License at a class level specific to assignment. Substitutions: I.
