Description
Supplier Quality Manager strives to lead the end to end product quality and have the ability to scale to support the variable engagement model from CM (contract manufacturing to ODM (original design manufacturer).
Key responsibilities include qualifying and bring-up of new suppliers to support increased capacity and/or new programs, developing approved suppliers to continuously deliver Amazon high quality products, driving yield improvement quarter over quarter.
Key job responsibilities
Lead cross functional team to conduct potential supplier qualification audits in both system and process levels.
Maintain quality data, ie audits, build yield, quality scorecards, as key input to QBR.
Develop new suppliers or existing suppliers to improve its reliability and quality. Drive into Sub-tier suppliers for quality review and corrective actions when necessary.
Perform pre-audit before NPI starts to review supplier readiness.
Participate New Product Readiness Reviews and make proper decision (approval or block) to cross functional team.
Identify potential problems in product design, specifications and materials, dive deep & able to drive supplier to find out root causes & solutions.
Co-work with Global Commodity Managers, engineering & cross functional team for qualification of second or multiple sources. Review and approve request of engineering or production changes.

Basic Qualifications
Good experience for power adapter or other mechanical/electrical assemblies, familiar with PCBA, wave soldering, ultrasonic welding & ICT/functional testing.
Have good hands on experience in poke yoke fixture design, process setup.
Ability to read and interpret engineering documents, able to do stack up tolerance analysis.
Familiar with measurements, ability to identify program NUDD, product CTQ & process CTP.
Strong ability to lead supplier qualification and process validation, supplier development and new project launch, trouble shooting and quality improvement.
Great capability to manage multiple development programs in parallel.
Solid understanding on quality tools such as statistical process control such as Pareto charts/8D problem solving, FMEA, MSA/GR&R, FAI (first article inspection), Cpk (statistical process capability), PPAP etc.
Bachelor’s in electrical or mechanical or engineering preferred. o Minimum 10 years’ experience in a manufacturing and quality environment.
5+ years working experience in managing supplier base.
Willing to travel frequently.
Preferred Qualifications
Familiar with plastic molding process, able to tune the molding parameters in supplier side & run DOEs to find the best process window.
Experience on DFM, DOE & Hypothesis Testing will be a plus.
Able to use Minitab to perform data analysis and make sound decisions.
GB/BB and CQE/CQM, auditor qualification.
