D&T makes a strategic on Diageo business. This role has dual remit – oversight of D&T’s regional delivery via roadmaps and committed business outcomes for the region and ensuring changes land effectively such that business teams successfully adopt and generate long lasting value from D&T capabilities. Such change manifests in multiple ways within D&T and can originate from new project delivery, changes to existing systems as well as employee tech changes at site level.

Purpose of Role

This role has works hand in hand with the D&T Head of Delivery & Change, to enable regional portfolio investment prioritization, interdependency management, governance, value realization, quality delivery in market and aggregation of overall commitments from value streams and BAU for effective execution into the region. This role will also focus on ongoing adoption and usage of existing systems working together with the value stream to improve value. As needed, for priority systems, work with value streams and project managers to ensure proper change plans in place and ensure overall D&T plans consider market capacity to absorb change.

As an important member of the regional D&T team you work closely with the wider regional teams as well as Value Streams as needed.

Market Complexity

D&T delivers products to all Diageo markets and functions. The regional delivery and change analyst sit across regional D&T forums and work with value streams and business partners; representing D&T across the spectrum of portfolio delivery and change agenda. This often includes a portfolio of complex geographic/ functional/ process/ system footprint.

Leadership Responsibilities & capabilities

Working closely both the wider regional team, global D&T teams and especially the Portfolio & Change Management Community to ensure optimal strategic and executional delivery of D&T delivery, change and adoption into their region and markets. The role requires a breadth of expertise to ensure proficient partnering on adoption as well as project change success for the market. On Delivery front, oversees overall regional portfolio of delivery activity ensuring all aspects of governance, compliance and value realization are followed by D&T. Focusing on regionally aligned quality outcomes.

Financial Complexity

The regional delivery and change analyst will, depending on the market scale typically have involvement in projects and regional capability analysis on systems and resources investment in multiple millions.

Top Accountabilities

Portfolio Delivery Management and Reporting

  • Works as a member of the Regional D&T Leadership Team bringing to bear elements of the wider teams work as well as global D&T to ensure end to end D&T delivers for Markets.

  • Empowers and works closely with programme and project leaders within the portfolio to own delivery status, risk mitigation, issue resolution, CARM compliance and resourcing, with authority to make decisions at the respective programme or project level.

  • Monitor portfolio performance; leading the monthly/quarterly/annual review framework of progress against commitments

  • Track and analyze portfolio performance metrics, including project progress, timelines, resources and budgets; providing recommendations to improve

  • Prepare regular reports and updates for senior leadership and customers, highlighting portfolio progress, risks, and recommendations.

Process Improvement and Optimization:

  • Continuously evaluate and improve portfolio delivery processes, methodologies, and tools to enhance efficiency and portfolio success rates.

  • Implement standard methodologies and portfolio management frameworks to ensure consistent and effective portfolio delivery.

Partner management and value realization:

  • Build credible relationships with customers and SME’s within market enabling you to truly understand and represent the market within D&T.

  • Build and maintain strong partnerships with key regional partners, to unblock issues and provide direction where needed

  • Collaborate with internal collaborators, such as value stream leads, solution managers, programme/project managers, multi-functional departments, and senior leadership, to ensure alignment and support for portfolio delivery.

  • Be a champion for value realization working closely with finance to embed it in region and with PMCoE on the business value drops

Change and Adoption:

  • Support business units during the transition to new technology solutions, ensuring organizational impact is understood and prepared for.

  • Support change management efforts to facilitate smooth technology adoption within the region, working closely with regional delivery lead and value stream

  • Define a robust customer map to identify key sponsors, supporters and advocates

  • Monitor and measure the effectiveness of technology implementations and make recommendations for improvement.

  • Monitor adoption of solutions and define interventions where needed

  • Develop and support extended regional network of change resources

  • Govern and support use of Diageo change framework by project change leads and uphold standards of execution in region

  • Conduct assessments to continuously evaluate business readiness based on the latest business environment and market conditions

  • Along with wider regional D&T capture meaningful metrics to measure the value and impact of the change management activities

  • Finds opportunities for continuous improvement and efficiencies in ways of working

Qualifications and Experience Required

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field

  • At least 2 years of responsibilities in IS or an IS focused business area

  • Experience in project/program management and technology change management within large matrix organizations delivering outcome based using both traditional (waterfall) and iterative (Agile) methodologies

  • Certifications in Project management, Agile, Change Management strongly preferred

  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain good business relationships.

  • Demonstrated ability to effectively engage multi-functional teams

  • Excellent pan cultural impact and influencing skills

  • Training or knowledge of supported business domain areas

  • Has a passion for continuous improvement

  • Has the foresight to see potential issues, performance challenges and risks, and has the necessary skills to influence and negotiate with the right people to maintain performance

  • Is comfortable (and resilient) working in a fluid, fast-changing environments under pressure with high levels of ambiguity

  • An understanding of both the current business’s industry and emerging business, consumer and technology trends

  • Ability to travel within the region as required
