Global Logistics Manager

Job Overview

As a Manager of Logistics Operations within the Medical division, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and optimizing the flow of goods, driving cost reduction initiatives, and enhancing overall supply chain performance across all Medical sites globally. You will be a central leader in strategic logistics planning, ensuring that the logistics operations align with both immediate business needs and long-term organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operational Execution: Oversee and manage the end-to-end flow of goods, including finished goods (FGs), components, and raw materials, ensuring seamless operational execution.

  • Cost Reduction Leadership: Lead cost reduction projects across all Medical sites, focusing on efficiency gains and cost-saving opportunities.

  • Global Site Collaboration: Conduct bi-annual deep dives with Medical locations globally to identify areas for operational improvement and drive the implementation of best practices.

  • Strategic Partnerships: Collaborate with the centralized logistics team to leverage company-wide platforms that reduce costs, increase flexibility, and accelerate response times to better support Medical’s customer base.

  • Compliance and Sustainability: Partner with Trade Compliance, Sustainability, and Strategic Sourcing Compliance teams to develop and implement a robust improvement plan, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and corporate sustainability goals.

  • Logistics Strategy Development: Develop and deliver a comprehensive logistics strategy for the Medical division, including a 3-5 year vision that aligns with the company’s long-term objectives.

  • Freight Management: Lead and coordinate premium freight requests, focusing on optimal mode selection and cost efficiencies to support operational needs.

  • Supply Chain Performance: Cultivate and support logistics planning, forecasting, and performance management modeling to enhance end-to-end supply chain performance and meet business goals.

  • Data-Driven Analysis: Analyze supply chain logistics operational metrics, identify trends, risks, and opportunities, and provide actionable insights to leadership. Optimize the delivery network to identify expense reduction opportunities and address on-time performance deficiencies.

  • Business Case Support: Support the development, analysis, and tracking of business cases to ensure robust, mutually exclusive benefits across business segments.

  • Vendor Management : Provide detailed volume and spend analytics to inform vendor selection and allocation decisions. Serve as a liaison with key logistics suppliers, maintaining industry insights and troubleshooting logistics issues.

  • Project Management: Independently manage logistics projects, developing and enhancing supply chain capabilities with minimal supervision.

  • Continuous Improvement: Perform root cause analysis, develop corrective action plans, and drive continuous improvement and efficiencies throughout the end-to-end supply chain network using a data-driven approach.

What your background should look like:

  • Bachelor's degree required

  • 8 years relevant experience in Warehousing / Logistics in a medical device manufacturing environment

  • Proven strong leadership and people management skills

  • High level of flexibility and ability to adapt quickly to changing business demands.

  • Excellent PC skills and strong knowledge of ERP systems, preferably SAP.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work across organizations to get best results.

  • Ability to multi task and work on own initiative.

  • Excellent analytical /problem solving skills

  • Demonstrated strategic mindset with the ability to develop and implement long-term business strategies.

COMPENSATION

• Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $86,960 - $130,440 (subject to change dependent on physical location)

• Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.

• Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
