Brunswick Tractor Driver/Logistics Coordinator in Appling, Georgia

The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for all tractor movements on property as well as the maintenance of the tractor. Tractor movements must be done in a safe, precise, and timely manner with the help of a spotter on the ground. The Logistics Coordinator uses the tractor to make necessary boat launches and retrievals for dry storage customers and for the service department, upon request. He or she will communicate with a trained spotter to safely and accurately maneuver boats with the tractor. This team member is expected to conduct themselves in a professional manner and maintain a clear focus on safety at all times. When not operating the tractor, the Logistics Coordinator partakes in additional duties necessary for the smooth progression of the day’s activities.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Inspect tractor daily and report any issues to manager before operation. Fuel tractor as needed, and grease, schedule servicing, as necessary.

  • Operate the tractor upon request by customer or department with help of a trained spotter.

  • Use safe and calculated operating techniques.

  • In between moves, the Logistics Coordinator will revert back to regular dock hand duties.

  • In-water boat movements

  • Utilize Speedy Dock to organize storage units and schedule launches and stows.

  • Maintain cleanliness of the facility and customer property.

  • Ensure safe movements of customer property

  • Anything else needed or asked upon

What a Qualified Candidate Looks Like:

  • Valid Driver's License

  • Experience operating heavy equipment (minimum 1 year)

  • Basic knowledge of boats and their operation

  • Ability to work in a team setting

  • Ability to swim
